A Victorian notice tee for gardeners who keep the gate shut, water early and never ask why.

The Committee issued rules for the garden as it does for everything: briefly, and after the fact. There are four, dated 1888. The third was added once somebody stood in the way. The fourth is the one people break. A small notice under a notched double rule, by order of the Observatory Committee, with an engraved wrought-iron gate between brick piers and a large moon-gold key.
