Terms of service
Last updated: 6 October 2026
1. Who we are
This website and store are run by Cameron Golden, trading as Midnight Observatory ("we", "us").
- Address: 18 Douglas Avenue, Stoke-on-Trent ST8 6JQ, United Kingdom
- Email: blankstatement00@gmail.com
- Sole trader, not VAT registered.
The store runs on Shopify. Our t-shirts are printed and shipped by our print partner, Printful.
These terms apply when you use this site or buy from us. Please read them along with our Refund policy, Shipping policy and Privacy policy. If you're buying as a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.
2. Ordering and the contract
- Our products are made to order. After you order, you'll get an email confirming we've received it. That's not yet acceptance.
- The contract between us is formed when we email to confirm your order has been accepted or dispatched, whichever comes first.
- We may decline an order, for example if a product is unavailable, there's an obvious pricing error, or we can't deliver to your address. If we do, we'll tell you and refund anything you've paid.
- You must be 18 or over, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to place an order.
3. Prices and payment
- Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). We're a sole trader and not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged.
- Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay.
- Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify's payment providers. We never see your full card details.
- If you're outside the UK, your bank may charge currency conversion fees, and local duties or taxes may apply (see the Shipping policy).
4. Products
- We describe and photograph our t-shirts as accurately as we can. Colours on screen can vary slightly, and because each item is printed individually, small variations in print position are normal.
- Size guidance is on each product page.
5. Delivery
See our Shipping policy for where we deliver, costs and estimated times. Goods are your responsibility once delivered to the address you gave us.
6. Cancelling, returns and faulty items
See our Refund policy. In short: consumers can cancel within 14 days of delivery, and if anything arrives faulty, damaged or wrong, we'll put it right. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.
7. Our designs and content
All designs, artwork, text and images on this site belong to us or our licensors. Buying a t-shirt doesn't give you any right to reproduce the designs. Please don't copy, sell or reuse our content without written permission.
8. Using this site
Please don't misuse the site: no hacking, scraping, introducing malicious code, or using it for anything unlawful. We may suspend access if you do.
We try to keep the site available and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Our responsibility to you
- If we break these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that. We're not responsible for loss that isn't foreseeable.
- We supply products for domestic and private use. We're not liable for business losses.
- We don't exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
10. Events outside our control
We're not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as courier or postal disruption, severe weather, or problems at our print partner's facilities. If that happens, we'll let you know and do what we reasonably can. If the delay is long, you can cancel and get a refund for anything not yet delivered.
11. Complaints
If something's not right, please contact us first at blankstatement00@gmail.com and we'll try to sort it out. If we can't resolve your complaint, we'll tell you about an alternative dispute resolution provider and whether we agree to use it.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one shown on the site when you placed it.
13. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
