A retro mission patch tee for space-age people with a soft spot for old observatories and older rules.

The patch of the Small Hours Programme, 1965. It keeps the old dome, the old lettering and the old founding year, and changes one instruction: where the 1887 crest said do not look directly, this one says look directly. Stitched for Flight One, the first time anyone from the hill went up to do it. A round stitched patch with the Observatory dome on its hill, a slim three-finned craft rising beside it and a tern crossing a crescent moon, with one moon-gold glint in the dome's slit.
