A botanical journal tee for anyone who keeps notes on their plants and has started writing down the times.

The groundskeeper's night book keeps the turn the way it keeps the watering: plainly, by the clock. On 21st June 1888 it was foxgloves first, then roses, then the beans, then everything, then it stopped. The last line is always the same. An open ruled notebook page in a neat practical hand, with a pencil across the foot and a small pressed leaf in moon-gold tucked into the gutter.
