Flight log of Coombe I, Flight One, night 3. At 2.14 a.m. the Observer raised the blind. One minute later the log has its answer, written in the old format: time, one line, nothing further. It's the same last line Coombe wrote in 1887. The rest of the page has been left blank. A typed log page beside a riveted porthole with its blind rolled up, showing only stars and cut off by the edge of the print, with one moon-gold glint on its rim.
